KSM file

KSM is an older Pfaff stitch format from the floppy-disk era of Pfaff embroidery machines.

What is a KSM file?

KSM is a stitch format of older Pfaff embroidery machines. It stores stitch commands in a compact binary form and dates from the time when designs were delivered on floppy disks and memory cards.

Features & use

  • Found in older Pfaff design collections.
  • Stitch data only.
  • Superseded by PCS, VIP, VP3 and VP4.

Notes

  • Current Pfaff machines read VP3 and VP4, not KSM; convert older designs first.
  • Related Pfaff formats: PCD, PCQ, PCM.
