PCD file

PCD is a Pfaff stitch format from the PC-Designer family, a sibling of PCS, PCQ and PCM.

What is a PCD file?

PCD is one of several Pfaff stitch formats from the PC-Designer era, alongside PCS, PCQ and PCM. It stores stitches with absolute positions and color changes.

Features & use

  • Used with older Pfaff machines and the Pfaff PC-Designer software.
  • Stitch data with color information.
  • No longer written by current Pfaff machines.

Notes

  • Current Pfaff machines use VP3 and VP4.
  • The four PC-formats differ mainly in details of the encoding, not in what they store.
