SHV is an older Husqvarna Viking format from the Designer I generation that stores stitches and a bitmap preview.

What is a SHV file?

SHV is a stitch format of older Husqvarna Viking machines, especially the Designer I. Besides the stitch data it contains a simple black-and-white preview image.

Features & use

  • Found in older Husqvarna Viking design collections and on old floppy disks.
  • Stitch data plus a bitmap preview.
  • Replaced by HUS, VIP, VP3 and VP4 on later machines.

Notes

  • Current machines do not read SHV; convert to VP3 or VP4 first.
