If you've bought embroidery files online before, you know the routine: pay, download a ZIP, unpack it, dig out the right format for your machine and save it somewhere you'll hopefully find it again. In the emborado marketplace, all of that goes away.

You buy embroidery designs where you already organize them. A purchased design goes straight into your emborado collection, with a preview, in every format it's offered in, and searchable like any other file. You pay with emborado Talers, which you buy in packages beforehand.

At launch, the marketplace has ITH projects, scribble designs and full-stitch designs by naduwu and Made by Vina. More designers are on the way.

Questions about buying embroidery designs

Do I need a subscription to buy embroidery designs?

No. A free emborado account is all you need to buy in the marketplace. Purchased designs stay in your collection.

Do purchased designs count toward the free limit?

Yes, purchased designs count toward the 100 embroidery designs in the free plan. You can still buy even if your limit is already reached. With an embroidery subscription, there is no limit.

What are emborado Talers?

emborado Talers are the credit you use to pay in the marketplace. You buy them in packages starting at €10; 100 Talers equal €1. Larger packages include bonus Talers.

Which formats do I get?

Every format the designer offers for the design, such as PES, DST, JEF, EXP, VP3, HUS or XXX. You don't have to pick one before you buy.

What if I already own a design?

emborado recognizes embroidery files by their content, not their file name. If the design is already in your collection, you'll see a warning before you buy.

Can I sell items stitched with these designs?

That's up to each designer. You'll find the legal information and license right on the design in the marketplace.

Can I buy in the Android app?

You buy Talers in the browser. You can spend them in the browser and in the emborado app for Android.
