What is a HUS file?

HUS encodes embroidery runs similar to JEF but uses proprietary compression. It stores stitch/motion data, thread counts/tables, and design info.

  • Part of the Husqvarna ecosystem; closely related to VIP.
  • Contains size/position data and color definitions.

Notes

  • Compression complicates raw editing; conversion to VP3/DST/EXP is common.
