VIP comes from the Husqvarna/Pfaff ecosystem and uses compressed blocks (ARJ-related decoding) to store colors/threads and stitch attributes.

  • More efficient than plain stitch formats.
  • Sits alongside HUS; the modern successor is VP3.

  • Exporting to low-level formats (e.g., DST/EXP) may drop metadata.
