You can now buy embroidery designs by naduwu and Made by Vina right in emborado: all formats included, straight into your collection, with a warning before duplicate purchases. Here is how the marketplace works.
Buy a design, download a ZIP, unpack it, hunt for the right format, upload it: anyone who buys embroidery files online knows the routine. As of this weekend, there’s a shorter way. In the emborado marketplace you buy embroidery designs right in emborado, and the design lands in your collection straight away.

The first designers in the marketplace
naduwu
Svenja & Nico of naduwu are two embroidery lovers from northern Germany. Their shop has ITH projects ranging from cuddly stuffies to the Rosemary bag, plus the occasional scribble design. Many of their ITH files come with detailed video tutorials on their YouTube channel. Many emborado users already know naduwu from our Embroidery File of the Month campaign.

Made by Vina
Sylvina of Made by Vina creates embroidery designs in scribble style, shabby style and full stitch, with designs for young and old. In February she already released the Valentine’s Gnomes as a freebie on emborado.

How buying works
- Buy Talers: Top up your account with emborado Talers once.
- Pick a design: Browse the shops in the marketplace, check previews and details, and pay for the design with your Talers.
- Start stitching: The design lands in your collection right away, with a preview, in every format it’s offered in, and searchable like any other file.
Paying with emborado Talers
In the marketplace you pay with emborado Talers. 100 Talers equal €1. Larger packages include bonus Talers:

You buy Talers in the browser. You can spend them in the browser and in the emborado app for Android. That way you have one balance for all your purchases and don’t need to enter your payment details for every design.
Why buying in emborado is easier
No download mess. Purchased designs don’t end up in a downloads folder but right where you already manage your embroidery files.
Every format at once. You don’t have to choose between PES, DST, JEF or another format when you buy. If you switch machines later, the right format is already there.
No duplicate purchases. Duplicate detection recognizes embroidery files by their content, not their file name. If a design is already in your collection, emborado warns you before you buy, even if you uploaded it under a different name at some point.
No subscription needed. A free emborado account is enough to buy. Purchased designs count toward the 100 embroidery designs in the free plan, but you can still buy even if your limit is already reached.
License and legal information
What you’re allowed to do with a design, such as selling stitched items, is up to each designer. You’ll find the legal information right on the design in the marketplace.
