Recap: Embroidery Week at Nähpark – Workshops, Machines & Community
A recap of Embroidery Week at Nähpark: embroidery machines, accessories, workshops, and a friendly community around machine embroidery.
Recap: Embroidery Week at Nähpark
If you are interested in machine embroidery, embroidery machines, and embroidery accessories, Nähpark is already a well-known name in the community.
With Embroidery Week, the retailer has created an event where several days revolve entirely around machine embroidery.
We were there as well, taking the opportunity to explore the event, talk with visitors, and of course introduce emborado.
A meeting point for the embroidery community
Embroidery Week at Nähpark is essentially a mix of in-store exhibition, workshop program, and community gathering.
Visitors have the chance to:
- try out different embroidery machines
- discover new embroidery accessories
- attend workshops about machine embroidery
- connect with other embroidery enthusiasts
The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly, almost like a small community meetup. Many visitors already knew each other or came specifically for certain workshops.

Machines, accessories, and practical tips
Besides the exhibition area, there were many opportunities to try out machines and accessories directly.
Among the guests and presenters were:
- Tracey, who presented various hooping aids and magnetic hoops
- Wiltrud and Michael from Brother, showcasing different Brother embroidery machines and accessories
- Tanja, sharing knowledge about embroidery stabilizers and proper stabilization
- Kasia, who offered workshops focused on creative embroidery projects
These kinds of practical insights are particularly valuable for many embroidery enthusiasts.
When working with embroidery machines, small details such as stabilizers, hoops, or hooping techniques can make a big difference in the final result.

A look at large quilting machines
In addition to embroidery machines, visitors could also see longarm quilting machines in action.
These machines are mainly used in the quilting world and make it possible to quilt large quilts with precision.

For many visitors, it is exciting to see these machines in real life, as they differ significantly from standard sewing or embroidery machines.
emborado on site
Of course, we also used the opportunity to present emborado.
Many conversations revolved around a topic that is very common in the embroidery community:
large collections of embroidery files – but little overview.
Over the years, embroidery enthusiasts often accumulate hundreds or even thousands of files on their computers.
This is exactly where emborado helps by making it easier to:
- organize embroidery files with visual previews
- quickly find the right design
- keep large collections structured and searchable
The interest and conversations during the event once again confirmed that this challenge is very familiar to many embroidery enthusiasts.
Our conclusion
Embroidery Week at Nähpark is not a huge trade fair – and that is exactly part of its charm.
Instead of a hectic exhibition environment, the event offered:
- relaxed conversations
- practical insights into machines and accessories
- workshops with direct interaction
- a very friendly community atmosphere
For us, it was a great opportunity to meet people from the embroidery and sewing community in person and to see how diverse the world of machine embroidery has become.
And who knows – maybe some of the visitors from Embroidery Week will soon appear again in the emborado community.
