nahtzeit.com – your new online sewing magazine (Guest post by Susanne and Sarah)

nahtzeit was born from a simple yet powerful idea:
we wanted to create a platform that strengthens the DIY industry and gives visibility to the sewing community – especially in challenging economic times. We all know how much creativity, passion, and heart go into this scene, and that deserves to shine.

We, Susanne from Villa Wicke and Sarah from Cutting Corners Design, have long felt that the sewing world is full of amazing projects, designers, labels, and shops that often don’t get the attention they deserve.

As soon as the idea came up, we jumped right in. With lots of heart and determination, we’re planning to publish the first issue at the end of October, followed by the second at the end of December – and if everything goes as planned, starting in 2026, there will be monthly issues.
Our goal is to bring you fresh inspiration, exciting stories, and genuine insights from the community on a regular basis.

We want to celebrate the diversity of the sewing scene and create a place where everyone can inspire each other. Stories, patterns, tutorials, product reviews, and personal insights will give you new ideas and motivation for your own “sewing time.”
It’s not just about instructions and tips – it’s also about the people behind them: the designers, the shops, the content creators, and of course, you and your creative projects.
