Recap: Open House at Nähpark

Last Saturday, on April 18, 2026, we were back at Nähpark, this time for their open house.

A few weeks earlier, we had already been there for the Embroidery Week. So it was great to return to Cham. At the same time, this event had a slightly different character. Compared to Embroidery Week, there were more different exhibitors on site this time, which gave the event a broader overall feel.

For us, it was once again a very valuable day full of conversations, new impressions, and familiar faces.

More than just embroidery

While Embroidery Week focused very specifically on machine embroidery, the open house at Nähpark covered a wider range of topics.

That was exactly what made the event so interesting. Visitors were not only able to discover machines and accessories, but also talk to different manufacturers, retailers, and experts.

This created a pleasant mix of:

  • product demonstrations
  • personal advice and conversations
  • workshops
  • encounters with people from many different parts of the sewing and embroidery world

This openness gave the event a very lively atmosphere.

Workshops and familiar names

One nice example of the diversity of the program were the workshops led by Anna from einfach nähen.

Program points like these are what make events at Nähpark especially interesting, because they do not just present products, but also offer very practical insights. Visitors take home not only impressions, but often also new knowledge and fresh ideas for their own projects.

This combination of products, application, and personal guidance is exactly what makes events like this so appealing.

Conversations with SCHMETZ and Mettler

We were positioned right next to Petra from SCHMETZ as well as Heinz and Uwe from Mettler.

We explained to each other what we are working on, what makes our products special, and which topics matter most to our respective customers. Conversations like these are especially exciting for us, because they broaden our perspective beyond our own product.

And honestly, I learned quite a few new things again myself.

It is the people who make events like this special

One thing we notice again and again at events at Nähpark is this: they are not only about machines, threads, needles, or accessories, but above all about the people you meet there.

It was great to see the Nähpark team again and continue conversations from earlier visits. At the same time, we once again had the opportunity to show emborado to visitors and explain how embroidery files can be organized more effectively with previews, filters, and content-based search.

These direct encounters are especially valuable for us every time. They show us which questions people really have, how they work today, and where our solution becomes relevant for them.

A lovely ending to the day

After an intensive day at the event, we all enjoyed a lovely dinner together.

That, too, is part of what makes events like this special for us. In those quieter moments, different kinds of conversations often happen than directly at the booth. The exchange becomes more personal, you get to know each other better, and you take away not only professional insights, but also something on a personal level.

Our conclusion

The open house at Nähpark was once again a very enjoyable event for us.

What will especially stay with us are:

  • the greater variety of exhibitors
  • the conversations with Petra from SCHMETZ as well as Heinz and Uwe from Mettler
  • the workshops, including those by Anna from einfach nähen
  • seeing the Nähpark team again
  • the conversations with visitors we were able to introduce to emborado

For us, the day was once again a great example of how valuable personal encounters are in the sewing and embroidery industry.

We are already looking forward to the next time we return to Nähpark.
