Explanation
FSL stands for Free Standing Lace.
These embroidery designs are digitized so that they can be stitched without any fabric underneath.
They are embroidered on water-soluble stabilizer, which is washed away after stitching – leaving only the lace design.
Because the lace must support itself, FSL files use dense stitching and often require multiple layers of stabilizer for stability and durability.
