Hello, I’m Vanessa, born in 1990, and I love being creative. Ever since I was little, I have enjoyed drawing, writing, and sewing. When my first child was born and standard sizing did not fit, my response was clear: I would simply sew the clothes myself. My head was full of ideas, and in 2017 my own label, Rabaukentochter, soon took shape.
Rabaukentochter stands for simple projects that are quick to make. Are you looking for comfortable, everyday clothing? Then you are in the right place. My patterns always offer lots of variations, sometimes playful and sometimes cool, so you can often fill your children’s wardrobe quickly using just one pattern.
My patterns include a sizing system I developed myself, based on a chart from a book about children’s patterns. I refined it using my own measurements and those provided by my test sewists, gradually developing the fitting system used at Rabaukentochter today. Whether your child has a very slim, average, or fuller build, the patterns can be tailored to fit them, and my instructions guide you through the process step by step.
